Custom audiences are a powerful addition to any Facebook Marketing Strategy, but if you asked Marketers what their number one complaint is, they’d all tell you it’s the interface. There was little done to the original interface when Facebook rolled out custom audiences to the masses. It was easy to track and manage a couple of audiences, but once you got past a page full of CA’s, trying to navigate through the list of audiences became a nightmare. Thankfully, Facebook has fully redesigned the Audiences section of Ads Editor.
The following options are now available for filtering through your audiences with the click of a single button. No more digging through page after page hoping to find that specific audience.
• Type
• Source
• Size
• Availability
• Date Created
• Audience ID
• Sharing
Facebook just recently added an “Event Audience” which allows advertisers to select an audience that has taken a specific action or event within your website, mobile device, or tablet. For example, you can reach those who recently completed a purchase or who recently opened your app. That is just one of the 20 different ways to filter an audience. Others include:
• Quick Look
• Recently Used
• In Active Ads
• Action Needed
• Shared
• Type
• Custom Audience
• Lookalike
• Saved Target Group
• Availability
• Ready
• Not Ready
• Error
• Sources
• Data File
• Website
• Mobile App
• Saved Target Group
• Page Audience
• Event Audience
All in all, if you are using Facebook Advertising and not using custom audiences, there is no excuse now!
